Physical education aims at Physical fitness The body is the instrument through which all of man's actions are carried out. Being such an important implement, it must be kept in a continu- ous state of good health. The students of West Catholic engage in a fitness program that aims to achieve this purpose. Basketball, baseball, and volleyball combined with ordinary exercise is the formula employed. The simple combination of athletics and recreation successfully results in an all-around schedule. Its infinite alphabet can spell despair and exaltation, joy and pride, peace and mystery. This unparalleled dialect is spoken at West. Sister Mary Claude instructs her chorus members in the intrica- cies of vocal music. Mr. Wendlandt instills in his band students the principles involved in the production of melodic sound. The success of both of these teachers is shown throughout the year in the many fine programs which are presented for the enioyment of all.
