Foreword We, the staff of the first volume of the Rambler, have attempted to por- tray a year of your life at West Carthage High School-the continual struggle to be at school at nine o'clock and the pleasure of singing with the chorus and of playing with the band. Who could forget the tragedy of a basketball game lost to a major opponent or the thrill of one well won? Or who could forget the many hours of concentration and study in the library, in preparation for lessons and tests? All these are but a few of the activities which have made our years at West Carthage High School such memorable ones. We hope that, not only at the end of this year but throughout all the years to come, as you take your Rambler from the shelf and leaf it through, your face will be aglow with smiles. If these smiles bring back the wonderful mem- ories of high school, we will have accomplished our purpose. It is our hope that the yearbook will become an important and delightful tradition of our school.
