The 1985 PROCLAMATION is Dedicated to . . MISS MARIE MCCANN This year's PROCLAMATION is dedicated to a very special lady who has given so much of her time to make West Carteret High School a better place. Dedicated is also a way to describe herg she is dedicated to her profession, community, and to students. She has taught at West for several years and has earned the respect of students and fellow teachers. In addition to being a classroom teacher, she is involved with stu- dents in many other ways. She is a friend and adviser to 2 - DEDICATION many young people. She is a graduate of UNC, is a French teacher, FCA adviser, and French Club adviser. She is the school's sports medical trainer and is an EMT in her community. She enjoys getting involved with teenagers and school. lf you ever need anything, she will be there to lend a helping hand. All of these things add up to make her the special person that she is, and we would like to say, Thank you, Miss McCann, for being you.
