TABLES TUR ED FOR A DAY Seniors experience a drastic change from the cafeteria routine Discussing lesson plans The roles were not reversed completely, teachers did not become students, but on March 26, members of the Senior class became teachers for one day. They prepared lessons and quizzes, taking over classes from roll call to Taking things seriously final bell. For students who expected a slack day, it was a surprise to find the Seniors were knowledgeable and pre- pared. For Seniors, there were moments of fun, panic, and 118 - SENIOR TEACH DAY The final hour exhaustion. By morning break, some had decided they would never be a teacher. Would you like to bet that if they were given a second Se- nior Teach Day , these same students would participate?

Queen of Hearts' Dance Amy Edwards, Regional Director of the NC Association of the American Heart Association speaks to students. Candidates and their escorts were treated to lunch at the Charter Restaurant. QUEEN QF HEARTS Sixteen girls representing eight clubs and the four classes raised S8, 274.85 in just one week this year. Raising money for the American Heart Association has been a tradition at West Carteret since it opened. This year Renee Reynolds led the group by raising 31,616.48 to become the new queen. She was crowned by Student Council President Keith Garner at a dance held to honor all the candidates.
