Spirit Of Homecoming Rains’ Supreme Austin, Brady, Michael Reign as King, Queen, Grand Marshal It looked like a scene from Animal House” as the students and faculty dressed in their togas. Later that week, Tyler Donovan along with Tom Hines performed their strip tease act in the senior lounge on Servant Day while Angie Blakeman was the biggest nerd of them all! Although this wasn't Animal House, it looked a lot like it, but the scenes were really from the halls of WCHS during the week of Homecoming. Monday, the students and faculty traveled back to Greek Culture days and wore their togas. Tuesday was hat, college sweatshirt, shades and Gotcha Day. Wednesday was a day for r and r at home because of a teacher in-service and Thursday was Servant Day. Friday, the spirit came alive as the halls and lounges were brightly decorated with streamers and signs. The Senior Class took first place in the hallway competition. Many were dressed to show their pride and school spirit in red and black. Prior to Spirit Week, Lexi Fulton and Rob Stivers announced the 1987 court at the annual Homecoming assembly held Friday during school. 8 Activities

Crowning Homecoming ’87 Under The Boardwalk, Out Of The Sun; Under The Boardwalk, We’ll Be Havin’ Some Fun.’ A day of fun in the sun almost became a pain in the rain as showers started falling two hours before the morning beginning of the Homecoming parade. By the time the band struck up. On West Carrollton,” the skies had turned just gray and cloudy, and it did not rain on our parade. The Senior class took first place with the freshman float coming in a close second in float competition. Under a sunshine filled sky, the court was announced during the pre-game ceremonies, culminating with the crowning of Queen Kara Brady and King Mark Austin. The Pirates clawed past the Wildcats, 20-15, in their first WOL Homecoming battle against Springfield South. Magnum Music DJ Show provided the sounds for the Homecoming dance that evening in the gym. 20 Activities
