see how they run Led by Steve Hines, who received the Most Valuable Runner award, Leon O'Neil, who received the coveted Most Consistent Runner a-ward, and Bob Spaulding, who received the Scholar Athlete award, the Pirates were paced to impressing victories in dual meets against Miamisburg, Jefferson, and Vandal ia. The harriers also burned the opposition at the Fairmont East Invitational, in which they received second place. Then at the league meet, the Pirates received 2nd place behind Brookville. The cross country squad proved themselves to be outstanding. They finished second in the SWBL. And in the final district meet, the squad finished in an impressive 3rd place.
