EHXTH Ot the thirty-nine girls and forty-four boys who are now in the sixth grade, forty-two have received all their training in the West Carrollton School. A total of fifteen pupils have come to us from Kentucky, Indiana, Tennessee, Oklahoma, and Virginia. The remaining number joined our class from other schools in Ohio. Our class has been active in various clubs and organizations oi the school and the community. Twenty-eight girls and twelve boys are scouts. Three boys belong to the Black Knights. Nine boys are mem- bers of the boys department of the Dayton Y. M. C. A. Four members ot our class be- long to the high school band and thirteen to the junior band. During the year twenty-one boys have served on the school boy patrol. Twenty-two members of our class have lived in other states and two oi our members have already crossed the Atlantic and lived for a time in England and Germany. From kindergarten days We have been in the limelight . At that time several of GRADE our class were participants in a Tom Thumb Wedding which attracted a large audience. At an early age ot six many oi us had our pictures taken with a movie camera, while playing on the playground and have been seen on the screen in our school auditorium. ln the first grade We presented a patriot- ic program and also took part in the Stunt Night program. In the third grade we gave a Thanks- giving program for the P. T. A. under the direction of Mrs. Server and Mrs. Plessinger. W'e prepared a Christmas program while in the fourth grade, but because of so much illness in the school, it was never presented. For the Music Festival last year We sang several numbers and danced the Virginia Heel. The climax ot our grade school activities will be May 22, 1946 when We participate in the sixth grade commencement exercises and receive our diplomas.
