CF.RIIART Superintendent of Schools TO THE CLASS OF 1989: For the Class of 1989, I suggest that your graduation from West Bridgewater High School be considered as a beginning rather than an end. As a class, you have contributed much to the spirit of your school. Indeed, your accomplishments in academics and in athletics have been most commendable. You graduate into a rapidly changing world. Jobs that you prepare for will be changing within a few years of your entry. Some adjustment will be necessary as you meet the challenges of each day, year, and decade. It is an exciting time — wish you well. Perhaps this quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson will be of some help. Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in — forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day: begin it well and serenely, and with too high a spirit to be cumbered with your old nonsense. It is a privilege for me to serve as your School Superintendent. I have enjoyed being with you and my very best wishes go with every member of the Class of 1989. Ronald P.
