INTRODUCTION qw. , K A QF s ss , 2 ' Vw . if ,, ,MR F ,x X :W , GREAT THINGS Since our early years as students, we have all aspired to be great things - great sons and daughters, great friends. great students, great fire- men, nurses, and teachers. Though our aspirations have changed, our desire for greatness never ceased. The Class of 1987 will graduate as a class of scholars, athletes, and artists, but - most of all - as a class of believers: believers in the reality of the great things we can, and will, be.

Mr. Curnutte: Not Shown: Mrs. Miller. TO THE CLASS OF 1987: For the Class of 1987. l suggest that persistence be considered as a valuable method to employ in attempting to accomplish goals. The person who stands out must have a certain tenacity. An assistant. once asked by Thomas Edison to perform an experiment, failed four or five times. When a friend suggested that he give up, the assistant replied, Mr, Edison did not say to try the job four or five times. he said to do it. As you graduate from West Bridgewater High School. think of the number of times you came back to try again. Certainly, you will remember successes that occurred on the fourth or fifth attempt. Just as the dawn follows the darkness success is often just around the corner from failure. lf there are times in your life that you do not succeed, be persistent. Chances are. you will succeed. lt is a privilege for me to serve as the Superintendent of Schools in West Bridgewater. l have enjoyed working with you and my best wishes go with every member of the Class of 1987.
