TO THE MEMBERS Of THE CLASS Of 1984 Your developmental process continues. You have dem onstrated social growth and academic achievement that entitles you to a high school diploma. Many of you ha ve elected to participate in a variety of formal. social and academic programs. gaining considerable personal gratification as well as providing a service to your peers and adults. Some of you ha ve chosen the route of non-formal relationships nd involvement with equal success and fulfillment. You have acquired credentials relating to knowledge, skills and values. How you em- ploy these will help determine your future. The impor- tance of your acquired personal attributes will be test- ed and measured as you enter post secondary educa- tion or a chosen occupation. The acceleration of con- flicts and issues that are national and global in nature. render indispensable the need for a renewed committ- ment and dedication to formal educational programs. A commitment and dedication on your part to the suc- cessful ajudication of these issues and conflicts are necessary if posterity is to enjoy the same privileges you possess. As you graduate from West Bridgewater Jr. Sr. High School. I express to each of you a most sincere thank you for your contributions and congratu- lations for your achievement. May success and happi- PRINCIPAL TRA no ness be yours to know. Sincerely. 5 E 4 k B P 4 A I S. Erick Benson Mr. . rtc enson rmctpa principal Dear Members of The Class of i984 Though I ha ve found Alfred Lord Tennyson 's politics to be lacking, his poem Ulysses is still one of my very favorites. There are immutable facts found throughout this work, yet two of the most significant are: '7 am a part of all that I have met and Come, my friends, 'tis not too late to seek a newer world Taken either separately or together. these statements mark where you have been or where you should go. Indeed. you are a part of all you ha ve met here at West Bridgewater High School, and they a part of you. You ha ve gained from your acquaintances and experiences, and these gains are impossible to lose. You ha ve been in pressure situations and found out how to deal with them. You ha ve learned that even the strongest person can cry and even the weakest can show great courage. You may forget people. but you will never forget the lessons they have taught. And it is these lessons which will allow you to seek the newer world. A world where hatred is minimized and true brotherhood is stressed, a world in which people work to exceed their potential, a world in which indi- viduality is cherishedf a world of hope. My desire is that you will be all that you can be and more. My best wishes. J. Michael Janelli Assistant Principal Mr. J. SUPERI TE To the Members of the Class of l984, Graduation marks the end of a significant phase in your lives. As individuals and as a class, you ha ve left your mark on West Bridgewater Junior-Senior High School. Each class is unique, and yours is no different. There ha ve been many accomplishments during the past four years, academic, athletic, extra- curricula, and personal, for which you can be proud. l'm sure there have been low and high spots during your time at West Bridgewater. Hopefully, as you look back, the high spots will outnumber the low. It is our hope that the education you ha ve earned while a student at the High School will enable you to be productive members of society and has provided you with some of the skills to adapt to an ever-changing world. Although the next phase of your lives may not be as simple, you now are presented with an opportunity for greater satisfaction and success as you strike out more or less on your own. Certainly people will be there to support and assist you when the need arises. but you now have the opportunity to make the choices and perform the work on your own. We hope you will use the gifts each of you has to make a better life for yourselves and for your community. Congratulations on your Graduation, .lohn S.
