taxa , 40 Mr. Donald A. Fisher Superintendent Dear Graduates: Congratulations upon the successful completion of the first 12 years of your formal, academic education. We school staff members join with your parents in the hope that you will now combine the lessons learned in the classrooms and on the playing fields with good common sense so you may get the maximum enjoyment from your audlt life. Remember the public schools are available to help you even after your gradu- ation from high school. Should you desire information or assistance concerning additional study, job placement, and other matters I encourage you to contact the High School Office or Guidance Department. Now, as you leave your school, I ask you to give careful thought to two respon- sibilities I feel are the obligation of all people in a free society. First- do all you can to justify the effort made by your parents, neighbors, teachers, and yourself to make your education possible. Second - do all you can to make certain that all children who will follow you have the opportunity to partake of an equally fine public school education. ln closing I remind you of the words of Max Ehrmann who statedg With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world.
