Within these walls our first years of learning were fostered and our friendships built to live forever in our hearts. Her in- herent ability to communicate and convey knowledge in her gracious manner has helped us in the Drama Club as well as in the classroom. Her warm and sincere interest in our problems has made the work of our high school years seem less severe. I hope you will fulfill your responsibilities as fiercely as you have sought your freedoms. james Harrington Assistant Principa 12 MESSAGE TO SENIORS We have spent four years together and l feel our association has been pleasant and worthwhile. The attempts our school has made to allow you to be responsible, reasonable individuals is really beginning to show progress. You have already been faced with many problems, both personal and social, which have been rather serious and, in most cases, your judge- ment has been sound. l am referring here to specific problems that are really new to your generation such as whether to use drugs or not and the protest move- ment. From now on, life will become even more seri- ous for you and the real decisions must be faced with mature judgement and a clear mind. Should others decide later to seek addi- tional study, do call on us to help you locate and gain admission to a school or college. Perhaps we may also help with job placement work? These are very troubled times filled with many seemingly unsolvable situa- tions. However, experience and history confirm that these or other problems are ever present in the world. The field hockey team, coached by lvlrs. Hanssen, had a very successful season. Their final record was three wins, three ties, two losses. Our top scorer for the season was a senior, Pat Conniff, who scored five goals. The most important victory was over Hanover. The team had not beaten them since the seniors first began playing together in the 8th grade.
