The medieval period in our history was one of feudal classes-including a nobility. These nobles developed a code of life which they called Chivalry. This code taught men reverence toward women, cour- tesy, bravery, manners, and service to the church. After schooling in these fields, noble men became knightsg one was first a page, then a squire, and at last a knight. Upon being knighted, he rode into distant lands in search of the holy grail-or silver chalice. As we review our school history We see it as one of Chivalry. We compare our elementary years to those of a pageg Junior high is likened to the life of a squireg and finally graduation is the time we are knighted. We have sur- vived the athletic combats, formal educa- tion, and character tests. Knighthood Cgraduationj sets us in search of the de- sired chalice-extensive knowledge. TERRENCE 0'DONNELL Throughout our high school experience this man with noble ideals has strived to in- ject in us the will to search for the truth in life. By studying the past We learn those qualities that are important for the future. Because of his understanding, high ideals, and impressionable teachings, we, the class of 1'961, dedicate our Climber to Mr. Ter- rence O'Donnell. -A 1 . 5 .- '1 ' Y 3 '- N. . 1 f 1 g .
