EDHTURHAL Wg AT a Time when so many conflicTs are occurring in The world, iT is only fiTTing ThaT man search even more in- Tensely for some means To effecT an end To war and vio- lence. To show more fully i',:V A, The imporTance of a world peace, we, The Class of 1957, have chosen as The Theme for our year- book-One World. As man has advanced in his scienfific knowledge, so has he also used This knowledge To desTroy himself. Wars have become more and more prevalenf. Every day The newspapers relaTe To The world The loirTh of a polifical, religious, or social uprising. Too ofTen man fails To realize The imporfance of his fellow man. Perhaps he has, in seeking The causes of war, overlooked The facT ThaT only a iusf world will be peaceful and ThaT iusfice musT recognize The imporfance of The individual. Alfhough he has his own specific ambifion in life, man musT realize ThaT he is a parf of one greaT sphere governed by one True God. Knowing This, he mighT, someday, succeed in Truly making This capacious world of ours One World. Perhaps, afTer all, we are The generaTion desfined To achieve This ideal.
