Of Fun and Laughter, Mixed this Issue ot the Climber, vve, the Wifh Tears The Brimming Cup ot Youth's Short Years. our high school lives. Here is recorded the happiness we have enjoyed together, and the pride we have felt in our achieve- ments. Unable to be set down in words, but even more important, is the better understanding of life which has been gained through our associations with our teachers and classmates. Without the un- DEDICATION EDITORIAL ADMINISTRATION FACULTY CLASSES ORGANIZATIONS SPORTS ACTIVITIES SENIORS ADVERTISEMENTS tiring help of these people, as well as the everlasting cooperation and under- standing of our parents, we of the Senior class would not have been able to realize our hopes and ambitions. We sincerely appreciate all that everyone has done for us, and we wish to deeply thank all those who have contributed in some way to the enrichment of our lives. DEDHCATHON ppreciation of the interest which she has shown in all our activities, and in recognition of ner continued help and inspira- tion, we, the Class of l957, respectfully dedicate this issue of the Climber to Mrs. Luice McCormac Ina lc. Her untiring efforts to make our school functions a success will not soon be forgotten. EDHTURHAL Wg AT a Time when so many conflicTs are occurring in The world, iT is only fiTTing ThaT man search even more in- Tensely for some means To effecT an end To war and vio- lence. To show more fully i',:V A, The imporTance of a world peace, we, The Class of 1957, have chosen as The Theme for our year- book-One World. As man has advanced in his scienfific knowledge, so has he also used This knowledge To desTroy himself. Wars have become more and more prevalenf. Every day The newspapers relaTe To The world The loirTh of a polifical, religious, or social uprising. Too ofTen man fails To realize The imporfance of his fellow man. Perhaps he has, in seeking The causes of war, overlooked The facT ThaT only a iusf world will be peaceful and ThaT iusfice musT recognize The imporfance of The individual. Alfhough he has his own specific ambifion in life, man musT realize ThaT he is a parf of one greaT sphere governed by one True God. Knowing This, he mighT, someday, succeed in Truly making This capacious world of ours One World. Perhaps, afTer all, we are The generaTion desfined To achieve This ideal. God willing, The Class of 1957 will possess The aloilify, The Tolerance, and The foresighf so necessary To bring abouf a lasTing lorofherhood among men. Priscilla Young Edifor -. , fist. You owe them an everlasting debt. Rest assured, however, they seek nothing but your success and happiness. Your achievements will be their reward. Try to demonstrate your gratitude to them by word and deed and by your willingness to accept responsibility. Together, we have had many very satisfying experiences. We sincerely hope that you will profit from them so that you may enioy fuller lives. In the future, do not hesitate to call if we can be of assistance. If you can find time, come to visit with us. If not, may we share with you the many happy memories which will be brought to mind with this, your Climber. Sincerely, PETER J. SPERANDIO MRS.
