PREFACE In this issue of The Climber, we, the Class of 1954, portray some of the out- standing events of our school life. A year- book represents many things: here in these pages stand revealed the realization of fond hopes, the pride of achievement through hard work, the fun and happiness of our more carefree hours, and, perhaps, even the nearer understanding of life gained from lessons and the associations with our fellows. For each division of the book makes clear that many people have had an indispensable part in making our four years what they have been to us. We trust that all of you, seeing yourself pic- tured here, will be reminded of our heart- felt appreciation. And, finally, our year- book is a summation of our high school years, the rich fabric out of which may come many useful lives.
