PRINCIPAL DR. MARK R. MASTERSON Many will remember you as the Super Bowl Class”. Few will recognize that you were also the team that almost won the Sportmanship Award when the competition included almost seventy central Massachusetts teams. 1 am most impressed by the diversity of your strengths. You have car- ried the yearbook, the senior play, and a number of teams. You are academically aggressive and competent; you have won many art and music awards. Several of you have ap- plied to some of the most competitive schools in the country and have every reason to expect to be accepted. As a class you have made the most of your educational op- portunities. My most enjoyable memory of you to date is being in the play Get Smart” with you. Best wishes for con- tinued happiness and success. ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL DR. PAULA BURKE-UCHE I think of each one of you and your futures, hoping that you will find joy and true fulfillment in the careers you choose. 1 wish you a life long discovery of your talents, interests and the genius that is unique to each one of you. Everyone is a star. May life bring each of you the love, friends, education and op- portunities to enable you to be your true selves. I wish each of you the love spoken of in Corinthians 1, 13: If I speak in the tongues of men and angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if 1 have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. Love is patient and kind; love is not jealous or boastful; it is not arrogant or rude; Love does not in- sist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrong but rejoices in the right. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

SUPERINTENDENT LEO J. SULLIVAN The Class of 1989 will long be remembered as one of the most impressive groups of young people ever to graduate from West Boylston |r.-Sr. High School. While obvious public achievements such as the Super Bowl victory have received much public acclaim, it is your less obvious qualities and talents in which we who know you take the most pride. As a class, you have long enjoyed a reputation for intelligence, industry, and motivation. More impor- tantly, you have been respected for your sensitivity and genuine concern for others. As you leave us for the final time, I would like you to consider that you have been the recipients of many intangible gifts during your eighteen years. You have benefitted from loving parents, a supportive community, and concerned teachers. You have been guided, assisted, and encouraged each step along the way. There is an old saying, From those to whom much is given, much is expected”. We expect and hope that in the years ahead you will try hard to give back to others as much as you have received. Good luck. Class of ' 89!
