STUNTNIGI-IT The Eighth Annual Stunt light held on arch 20 21 was one of the most succes ful ever presentec by the students of West Blocton Hivh School The Rec Leader was Austin Durham, wlth June Vander ford, Assistant The Vhite Leader was Edward Giles, with Nurlel Lean Collins, As istant Faculty members on the Red Sidv were M s O K Yeager, Miss Elnora Yeager, MlSS Betty Pratt, Mr A C Davie, Mrs T I Giles, Coach C M Zeanah and Mrs Horace Brewer Faculty members on the White Sioe were Mrs Harry Ray, Mrs Percy Burton, Mrs Eunice Keys, Miss Gladys Langston, Mrs Wilcox Fandle and Mr R L Hamrond Mr L S Vanderford, the principal, was a neutral this year, as he has been for the years previous This Stunt Night was dedicated to the Darent Teachers Association of Vest Blocton High School, for their co operation anc service to the students of West Blocton High School The highlight this year was the presentation of each side's stunt and impersonation The Reds presented as their impersonation nShakes pear's Laushter The characters were Maurine Mc Culley, Anna Dean Steele Jack Bollng, Roy Deerman, Elalne Beane, Frances huPPhV E H Gentry, Earl Ph 1 pot, Lourette Tomnsend, Glenn Tibbs, Thomas Gentry, and Vorner Burt As their tunt the Feds presented nThe Home Town Fevue Characters were Oliver McCulley, Austin Dur ham, Norman San inb, fugene Givens, Ray Blake, Billie Sansing, Walter Piley, Annette Lest, Jaunita Clinner, Sara hell archant, Romons Bangston and Ann Cobepn The Vh'te Imper onation vas 'The Pesurrection The Character were Edward Giles, Poncer Frederick, Jlmmv Young, Jinny Pay, Terry Ray, Charles Fay, Peggy TibbS, Gerilda cickie, John A Fabgon, David Meacham, 50 NJ I I A ' S ,,, 1 f ha ' A O I -Q A -, . - 0 B ... . Helen Brewer, Joe Glvens, Johnnie W Slaton, Charles Street, Aubrey Cilliland, Ronnie Giles, Muriel Dean Collins, Dorothy Majors, Annie Mae Tibbs, Nelda Faye Carroll, and Nancy Jones The Whites presented as their Stunt, nThree Goldy locks and a Bear Characters were Juanita Karr, Muriel Dean Collins, Jewel Rovcroft, Nelda Faye Carroll Ronnie Glles, Edward Giles, Betty Jo Perry, Ponder Fred erick, and Dorothy Majors The Cheerleaders for both sides did an excellent job For the Red Side they were Hilda Jean Gardner and Joe V Price For the white Side they were Jewel Roycroft and Ponder Frederick Sportnanship was at a high standard throughout the whole event The winner of the 1047 Stunt Nifht Cup was the White Slde Joy and sorrow were both evident when Mr Vanderford stepped through the curtain with the whlte ribbon on the cup yawn I if Ali.
