“At last we ar lved in the largest c1ty of the United states stayed there for several we ks Our first evening was spent attending the grand opera As you see, my husband is very fond of them The star performer was none other than my husband's cousln, Anna Abbas, soprano She had a record and a redal for singing the highest note that has ever been sung in all history The world seems full of surprlses and during our stay in New York we were to have been treated to a piano solo at HJust off Tires Square Ihile waiting for the great pianlet to arrive, we were informed that hiss Patty Ketelsen would be unable to arrive, as studles at the Ohio Conservatory delayed her In Boston we heard that the wife of the mayor was going to speak at the Nomen's Club ue decided to att nd, and who should the mayor' wlfe be out Bernadine Bleuer Je llstened attentively, but personally I didn't understand a word she said It so happens that she had acquired an astern accent By the time I got to the stage to speak to her after the meeting, she had di appeared Soc ety you know must tell you about a llttle church we attended one Sunday in Maryland The V1Sit1Dg sreaker for the morning was bGlV1H lathson rho Ylth h1s hlgh school frlend, Jim Schmldt, had been dolng m1SS10H8Ty work in Nadagascar for the past thr e years What a surprise' ve had a very engoyable afternoon vlsiting wlth them Jhile mv husband and I were travellng, we thought lt would be fun to go to hlami, Florida On the beach there, we found Barbara Baas basking 1D the sun It seems she had made a fortune ln o1l wells and 15 now a roman of leisure She has acqulred a South rn accent Jhile talking to her, a man approached and we learned that Barb still blushes easily Me left them b cause I alvays was bashful with most men Ie tr veled on taking in the beautiful sights untll we reached a small town in Oklahoma Walking down the main street we noticed a bl sign whlch read as follows NCare for your dogs and c ts now Brlng them to the hospital All expenses paid ' Je thought thlS sounded rather interestlng and decided to stop The veterinarlan welcom d us at the door It was one of my old school mates, Fred Traub H us he had decided upon this profession because he believ d ln be klnd to dumb animals Jhile r1d1ng across the plains of Texas, re declded to stop at a small town to buy some cacti for souvenlrs to send back home In the flower shop we plcked up a newspaper off the counter On the front page was a picture of the governor wlth h1s wlfe axd thelr qulntuplets Je were really speechl ss when we found, by readlng, that the governor was none other than Howard Morey Of course, he had changed quite a blt He was tall with one of those Texas bullds, and had grown a beard My husband and I Journeyed on and decided it would be fun to V1S1t ln he lco Je passed through several lovely llttle torns and then went on to b autlful Mexlco C1ty As we entered the entertainment squ re of the clty, the sound that reached our ars was very fam1l1ar became curwous and moved closer, and were astonlshed to fird Baruara Grant leadlng the NGXICBH chlldren in the Amerlcan rhumba Her a1m is to help the Good Nelghbor Policy she claimed This page sponsored by 3 ILTS SPO CTOPE THE CF IS ILLES STORE ALGOIA, TOIA ALGOUA, IOJA . . , L T . .
