Present . . . the the thc x The New ddition The two new gyms and the swimming pool provided by new building will offer a welcome addition not only to physical education and athletic departments but also to entire student body. XVe will finally have our own gym for basketball games and will be able to have uncrowded all- sellool assembly programs for the first time in years. XVrest- ling, volleyball, and swimming teams will probably be added to the list of competitive sports, and swimming and health classes will become a part of the physical education program. The band and chorus rooms will meet the expanding needs of our band, chorus, and orchestra quite well. Both rooms will be equipped with risers and the most up-to-date and complete audio equipment available, and will provide at long last adequate practice room and storage space. The multi-purpose activity room is another feature of the new addition. Open to the students during the day and to the community after school hours, it will provide entertain- ment, a large recreational area, and a snack bar. XVith the student senate working on plans for its use. a number of XVBHS clubs have already contributed funds for furnishing the room with various forms of entertainment, such as a juke box, hi-fi, and TV. If properly used, the activity room should provide an excellent place for student recreation. I sm, gi l
