Inconspwuous, uf mia OFFICE STAFF The high school offices hub of school activity are kept operating smoothly by the efficient work of the office staff Mrs Hoopman Mrs Baumann and Miss Cypher perform many varied and impor tant duties The obvious tasks of correspondence filing and clerical Work make up only a small part of their Jobs Every hour the attendance records for each class must be checked The preparation of daily announcements is another duty of the office workers Throughout the year the office IS busy filling out the transcripts for prospective college students and writing letters to colleges for other pupils When school has closed in the spring the students leave but the office staff remains to pre pare for the next year Mrs Verna Baumann Mrs Doris Hoopman Miss Arlene Cypher CHIEF CUSTODIAN When the students arrive at school in the morning they take it for granted that the building will be warm and clean upon their arrival Many persons fail to remember that the building is main tained in a comfortable condition through the work of the custodial staff Mr Hubert Becker has been chief engineer at West Bend High School for the past 41 years Every morning he arrives much earlier than the students to see that the building 1S prepared for them Throughout the day Mr Becker can be seen about the building repairing broken equipment lending a hand to students and teachers who need help and giving advice on maintenance problems Because of his co operation and friendly attitude Mr Becker has made many friends among the students Mr. Hubert Becker JANITORIAL STAFF The janitorial staff consisting of Glenn Mark- graf Frank Hoffman Phillip Thoma and William Dalum is responsible for keeping the building and grounds neat and orderly. With eight-hundred per- sons moving about the building each day and a campus of eighteen acres their task is not easy. While the student body is vacationing during the summer the janitors are busy repairing and recon- ditioning the building athletic grounds and school equipment. Saturdays the custodians are working to complete jobs which they were unable to do while the students were in school. The fine condi- tion of the building is a tribute to their efforts.
