O O O I Four Year oi Memorie Although these pictures of the senior skit were taken only a short while ago, somehow it seems even a shorter period has elapsed since we began high school as fresh- men. ln September of l946 the doors of West Bend High opened to accept l35 freshmen. Vile began our careers in high school in fine style by electing Richard Martiny. president: Elaine Boettcher, vice-president: and jim Kuehn, secretary-treasurer of our class. All of us were determined to find new interests and friends here by the end of the year. As we began our sophomore year, Luke Heppe. Richard Daggett, and Ken Troedel were elected our class officers. We took an active part in many school activi- ties and clubs. Some of us were on teams in sports or debate. Now we were acquainted with school life and were looking forward to the events of the coming year. Ar last we were upperclassmen, juniors. Our class rings, 'Skystreaksf' were proudly displayed by all. Helen Hausmann and Dave Grogan reigned over our prom. The theme, Moonlight Sonata , will be remem- bered by everyone. Handling the financial affairs were Joyce Promersberger, secretary-treasurer and Richard Daggett, vice-president. Many of our boys displayed their abilities in sports. Charles Stracka, ,lim Drew, Gene Schloemer, David Grogan, and Walter Boerger were some of our stars. Helping to cheer our boys on to victory were cheerleaders: Ella German, Marilyn Leit- heiser, Wanda Mertens, and Lillian Meunier. But all these things seemed to fade with the magic word, Senior. Rebecca was chosen as the class play and the members of the cast worked energetically to make it a success. As graduation drew near, the class selected their class memorial, and plans were made for a senior class banquet. The months passed quickly, and all too soon we were no longer students of W. B. H. S. Ea ig Sy. Jim!
