Pop Bob Rauen tips one in at the Mayville Top Louie Mehlos goes up fol a Jump ball game Bottom A nice bit of glllldlrlg by Bobby Bottom Suspense Rauen ing the team from being beaten by Kewaskum Dan was high scorer for the West Bend five during the Regional Tournament play The other forward Richard Ruhnke was also on the ball during tournament play Rich also did a good Job ID the second game against Hartford His stream of points got the team back on the road to victory The fifth man on the starting lineup was jim Bell the other guard im and Dan had just about every thing possible pulled on them when they tried to bring the ball up the court but their elusiveness always paid off im s high spirits often helped the team out of a rut when the going was tough The outstanding game of the year was the over whelmmg defeat of the Port five What was supposed to be the favored team was beaten by the Badger quintet by a core of 56 to 43 One fact of interest is lost the second time they won The first time they played Cedarburg they lost the second time they won The first time they played Ripon they lost the second time they won But no matter how many strange coincidences there were during the season the team can be congratulated on their excellent play throughout the season Carl Kuss did an able job f coaching assisted by Gene Zarek Page tvs enty one ' l 1 ' l ' this: the first time the Badgers played Hartford they .
