eff if v 479' 0 E IVIIIRE TEP Golly' It seems lrke yesterday when we as freshmen and sophomores looked at the yunrors wrth envy We had loads of fun those days but the junror class had so much more prestrge and esteem Then presto' we were junrors, and now we too have that same socral prominence When the electrons for class ofhcers arrrved we met the srtuatron very serrously because we realrzed the president of our class would be the krng of the most colorful event of the year the prom The electron satrsfied everyone Who vtanted a more handsome krng and a more capable presrdent than jerry Mehlos? Jrm Bell and Don Krrcher served as our vrce presrdent and secretary treasurer respectrvely As early as November commrttees were selected to make our prom one of the best After plenty of debate and contro versy the theme I Love An Old Fashroned Song was selected and work begun rmmedrately Then the traditional campargn to have a representative of the class as an officer rn the Student Senate began After a long and vrcrous struggle against the senrors we finally succeeded and Phyllrs Indermuehle took over the job as secretary treasurer rn the Student Senate How can we ever forget the excrtement when we recelved our class rrngs rn trme to make the Chrrstmas of our lunror year complete? We were really upperclassmen now My hom the buttons of our vest popped when we flashed that shrny object called the Rocket on an rnnocent bystander And remember how we heard that famrlrar Hrke' one JUNIOR OFFICERS jerry Mehlos President james Bell Vrce president two three early rn fall and the coachs vorce above all the rest howlrng mstructrons to the football team We felt mrghty proud those days because some of those husky and handsome team members who received letters were jun tors ten of them tn fact How hoarse our throats were the day after the basketball games when the startmg five were from our class' The sprmg sports claimed our athletes too tennrs track, base ball golf Bemg an all round class we contrrbuted to West Bend Hrghs good reputatron by other actrvrtres too Many of us won forensrc contests and went on to further competrtron Then suddenly we realrzed that the prom was only a few weeks away The well kept secret was finally announced at the pre prom dance two weeks before Kathleen Wagner was the queen That hustle and bustle well never forget A feellng of contentment captured us as Jerry and Kathy led the grand march What a handsome couple they were' Therr smrles told us they were as happy as we not only because the prom was a success but also because thrs prom was really and truly ours The last strarns of I Love An Old Fashioned Song echoed and re echoed long after the Howers of our corsage had wtlted Yes another year has come to a close Wrth perfect june days comrng we can happrly remrnrsce the many entrcmg moments of our lunror year 0 I 0 4 1 ,, ' fu I . 1 af, ,la I, I Q,-.L , v. ft' Ls.ff'.., -ff 3. fag vs., 1 v . , . f - Y H . , .
