Already we have three grand and glorlous years to look back on wlth a mlxed feeling of regret that Old Man Tlme marched on so swnftly and yet there lS a feelmg of Joyful antlclpatlon when we too shall graduate and step out on our own Our first class meetmg for the purpose of nominating our class officers provlded a pleasant surprise for the entire school when we elected Darwm uech as president for the second consec UIIVC year ASSlStll'lg hum m leadlng our class were Ken Pauer who was secretary treasurer Although last year we took an actlve part ln sports this year proved that our class really could take a big part m the athletic program On the lme up of the football team were found the names of many junior boys Many of them also con tmued rn baseball basketball track and just about every sport m the program Cheerlng them on were Arlette Mehlos LaVerne Martm Shlrley Lemke Evelyn Kudek and Lou Ann Schloemer the cheerleaders Towards the mlddle of the year another class meetmg was held for the purpose of choosing the JUDIOI class rings The committee and MISS Pod ruch finally narrowed the selection to three rmgs and of these three the class chose the Royal Page sxxteen Vxce plesldent John Falter Crown Now we felt llke real upper classmen We had our own speclal rmgs to prove It The Juniors also took an actlve part ln foren slcs wlth many of them helping to brmg honor to West Bend Two Juniors Lou Ann Schloemer and Dick Larson together wlth their partners agam brought home the debate champxonshlp of the Llttle Ten and a second place IH the Natlonal Forensic League and state contests FIYSI place ln the Arrerlcan Legion Essay Contest was won by oanne Dewey But what JUDIOY class hlstory would be com the umor Prom3 Commlttee meetmg after com mlttee meetmg was held to decide on the orches tra the theme and the many other detanls whlch go into making lt a success Finally after much dlscusslon we plcked our theme Black Magic and after more suspense and speculation we lntroduced our queen Arlette Mehlos Thlrteen couples together with King Darwin uech and ueen Arlette relgned over the never to be for gotten prom All too soon lt was over and lt seemed that we had left behlnd an lmportant event ln our hlgh school careers The one occasion to sadden our Junlor year was the death of one of our favorite classmates Roger Wredmeyer who died durlng the summer of hrs Junior year He IS sadly mlssed by all of us .l0hf1 Faltef, Wl'l0 SCl'VCd HS ViCC-P1'CSidCI'lt, and plete without mentioning the biggest event of all,
