The l.iTTle Ten Conference sTandings found Wesf Bend in a Tie wiTh Oconomowoc for Third place, and Mayville again aT The Top of The heap, afTer They had smashed down T-loricon for The cham- pionship. WesT Bend played 6 conference games, and 2 non-conference baTTles. The losses challced up were adminisTraTed by The Two nonfconference foes, Porf WashingTon and Pio Nono, while The conference losses were crediTed To Mayville and l-loricon. However, on The sunny side of The ledger were vicTories over Beaver Dam, Berlin, Ripon, and Oconomowoc. Wesf Bend 6, Pio Nono 33 The firsT game oT The season found Wesf Bend up againsT a very formidable foe in Pio Nono. Lining up againsT a much larger school and Team, WesT Bend gave a good showing and played The besT game of The enTire season. ln The firsT half, Pio Nono had Things quife Page Twenfy-eighf Their own way, and scored mosT of Their poinfsg however, in The second half The Red and Whife came To life when aTTer a 60 yard march down The field, Wiskirchen crossed The goal for The lone Wesf Bend Touchdown. WesT Bend 0, Horicon 8 Meefing Horicon as Their firsT conference hurdle, Wesf Bend suTfered a severe leTdown. ln- iuries from The Pio None game slowed down many oT The players and gave Horicon The advanTage. A safeTy in The firsT half, when Schaefer was Taclcled behind his own goal and a smash oT 8 yards for a Touchdown in The second gave l-loricon The margin of vicTory. WesT Bend 7, Beaver Dam 0 WiTh The Red and WhiTe Team playing Their firsT home game of The season, The homecoming game, MaTT Goeden Thrilled The crowd wiTh a dazzling 45 yard run followed by his kicking The exTra poinT. ATTer This, WesT Bend ThreaTened several Times, buT each Time Berlin Threw up a sTouT defense and Took The ball on downs.
