PRINCIPAL ' S MESSAGE At the time of graduation, one question which usually permeates the thoughts of those completed their high school work is, What does the future hold for me? The same is true for those who find themselves leaving the ivy covered towers of a col¬ lege or the cloistered halls of a university. Such is as it should be for when one spends the required time and does the required work of an institution, he naturally wonders about the rewards of such labors. But actually, there is no question. The heights to which one should expect to rise is ascertained from the depths to which he has striven. As the structure of a new build¬ ing can be surmised from an investigation of its foundation, so also is the structure of a life conjecturable from its groundwork. All that we have to build on is that which we have already laid, what we are to become is predetermined by the pattern we have made for ourselves. As you leave our school to begin in your new lives, we extend to you our best wishes for success and our most sincere prayers for your well-being. You need not fear the future nor be apprehensive about it. If you have laid a strong and steady founda¬ tion and will build thereon, your destiny is promising and your hope assured. G. L. HINES
