'Ne wish not only to thank lllr. De- lfreest, our junior high school supervisor, and Miss Young, our guidance director, for the work done in our behalf during the school year, but the many, many others who have made the school year an enjoy- able one. We could write about many individuals who have given us worthwhile experiences, and lessons we shall never forget in the years to come, but that would take many reams of paper. May we simply say, 'Thank-you, thank you very muchf, to: our teachers, our secre- taries ,our custodians, and our bus drivers.

Cfify Usual School Day My day begins at six o'clock A. M. It's really supposed to start at iive o'clock, but due to the fact that I'm somewhat slow in getting up in the morning, it begins at six o'clock. I have a sure tire alarm clock in the person of my younger brother, Fred. It seems that his voice is pitched on thc assumption that our entire household is stone deaf. Even when my father yells at him a dozen times to be quiet, Fred's whisper is louder than anyone's na- tural voice! And then to school. Dear, old school, where I spend many frantic hours trying to cram such subjects as geometry, bi- ology and English into my poor head, which my dear father at times, insists, is a complete vacuum! After school, home again to study and to study some more. WVhen an examina- tion comes up, it seems as if,I haven't studied at all. Then again there are some humorous sides to my home life. My mother has a habit of quoting proverbs at us, one of her favorites being Many hands make light work . This is a gentle hint for my sister and me to get busy with the dishes. Our usual response Too many cooks spoil the broth , one of mother's favorite proverbs, until we started using it in such a sneaky way! But the dishes must be done, so my sister and I do them duti- fully, if not willingly. Another major crisis come up when we watch television. My brother is all for Roy Rogers, or a similar western. My sister prefers a musical show, while I would rather take in a drama or sports event. These and similar incidents help make my school day a busy, if not exciting one. Then ten o'clock to bed with night- mares of geometry, biology and English! Marie Verderosa I' ,, y l, .,,c,.
