Aurora 6 Gary Munn, end, who made both the first team on the All-Conference and many All-State teams compiled a total of 103 tackles and received 6 passes for a total of 110 yards. Captain Tom Young, halfback, who received All-Conference honors, carried the ball 13 times for an average of 6 yards per carry. Jim Ramey, John David, Jim Groninger, Delbert Walls. Blackhawks Capture Big 8 Title After eleven yeors, the Big Eight Championship Football Trophy is once again in the trophy case at West. Our 1960 Blackhawk football squad was one of the best fielded by Coach Ken Zimmerman and Line Coach Dick Zuege in the last few years. End Coach Dick Dorsey also did an outstanding job with his charges. The team had both size and speed and above all the spirit and enthusiasm necessary for a championship team. The spirited season left us not only in possession of the Big Eight Trophy but also permanent holder of the Exchange Club Trophy gained by the third straight win by the Blackhawks over their cross-town rivals, the East High Tomcats, in their 68th meeting. Although every player did his part to insure victory, there were a few standouts on this team that deserve special recognition.
