Primitive poles were carved by the Indians for the purpose of displaying important members of the family and their lifetime achievements. Similarly we, the EOS editorial staff, have accumulated the necessary material for an accurate and memorable carving of the Blackhawk family in the school year of 1958-59. Comprising our totem pole are the four phases of life at West Senior High-administration, academics, athletics, and activities. Page 2
