On September 8, I scurried out ol the way in order to dodge the teet of the 212 freshmen who were wandering confusedly around the halls of their new alma mater. lt didn't take them much longer, however, to learn their way around these hallowed corridors than it took them to realize it wasn't neces- sary to take every book home every nightl The treshies quickly got in the swing ot things by electing capable ollicers: Alex Seith, president: Ronnie Carlson, vice-president: Ann Caughey, treas- urer: and Ann Austin and Ann Bobo, co-secretaries. Ed Anderson, Joyce Rolf, and Richard Little completed the cabinet. Advisers were Miss Mary Holty, head adviser: Miss Louise Lane, counselor: Mr. Joe Axelson, Mr. Donald Paul, Mr. Clarence Blubaum, and Mr. Lew Stephens. The greenies eagerly plunged into many activities offered such as sports, glee clubs, instrumental groups, and drama clubs besides doing a lot to help plan the Frosh-Soph dance Iwhich was a great success!l PAGE 29
