,pw Guess l'm gettin' old 'cause I remember what this class of '49 did as fresh- men when their officers were: president, Louis Newton: vice-president, Herbie Heissg secretary, Pat Shelpg and treasurer, Barbara Caudry. They planned with Miss Una Pease, their adviser, many things, including the Shamrock Shuffle lFrosh-Soph dancel. Then when they returned as sophomores, l wise fools l, they elected as their officers: Brudd Auther, president: Ruth Krentz, vice-president: Barbara Caudry, secretary, and Douglas Arundale, treasurer. This class smashed some traditions of long standing in their Junior year- getting their class rings in the spring and working on the EOS staff. And oh, those campaigns! These Juniors, Joe Corrigan, president: Bob Strong, vice- president: Liane Morris, secretary: and Bill Mitchell, treasurer, were finally elected. The officers guiding the '49er's in their last year were president, Brudd Autherg vice-president, Cedric Benson, secretary, Cynthia Turner, and treasurer, Joyce Beamish. Advisers this year were Mr. Grant, Mr. Hafen- richter, Mr. Nebergal, Mr. Halfvarson, Miss Pease, and Miss Schoonmaker. PAGE 15
