December Xlvith a FLASH X'X'est High gets that holiday fever. only ill hours until vacation ,..' Iio help pass the idle hours. A Cappella starts work on the Mikado . . . il he intra-mural sports program takes effett . . . the Girls' Club starts on annual Helpward Ho drive . . . The paths of glory led but to the gym when XY. A. played DeKalb . . . When deep coal dust falls over XX'est High's basketballf ---f LaSalle-Peru VC. A. game . . . The Seniors and Aurora college receive one fine orchid for their fine one-act plays . . . XX'ith Malice Toward Some 'fthe E. A.. XY. A. gameg XX'ith Malice Toward None the dance after the game. believe it or not . . . And with a final sing. swing and fling. i.e. A Cappella Christmas pageant. juniors Holly Hop. and the Rockford,X5U. A. basketball game. all in one day . . . Now Aurora's little son Blackhawk will take a brief rest Q FJ january The new year brings flashes from out of nowhere . . . Elgin and XY'est had a fling on the old oaken floor . . . XY'est High enjoyed their game with Freeport very much . . . The mighty faculty of XX'est High miclclle-baskettecl it with Yorkville . . . XX'e turn over a new leaf with second semester registration, the worst is yet to come . . . The weekend was broken by two. too bads LaSalle-Peru and joliet games . . . The semester build-up to a week let down. and the tell of time. Semester Exams . . . They came like the wind. Peoria Manual . . . It's a fight to the last both for the team and the junior class---my friends the class play tryouts and Sandwich in the cage . . . Kids. it's happened. half the year is ov er. semesterially speaking . . . One more. the last this month. XX'est plays their proverbial fellow Aurorans. the Tomcats . . . juniors present to the onel att play critics that's you. dear students a favorable display . . . Then came the war. or the report cards . . . Students felt a sublime sensation when they almost got out of school for a day. in fact many did. for a little snow '... Flashes are fini. February Reach for a Flash . . . An' you have Rockford and XV. A.. a basketball thing-a-m-gig . . . Then the boys got together and organized the great A club . . . For a day. students did as they pleased Did we go to school? No. there was no school to go to . . . Mr. Hamrin told the Student Council why they did and why they didn't . . . Glory. glory. XY. A. and Freeport Cage-rs . . . I.e Petit Ensemble entertained les Students. Good. n'est-ce pas? . . . juniors. to you an orchid for one of the best class plays yet . . . XY'est's basket trippers played joliet. then I.aSallefPeru. They tried hard. they say but I wouldnt know since I had the flu along with a third of the student body '... U0 CU Choir presents the Mikado and CSD Mr. ones does things with gyroscopes. Q61 Faculty takes the volley 1 trophy from the intra-mural All-Stars. C71 Choir dons robes for a concert.
