more girls were actne rn Girls Athletic Assocratron To guide the class through the yunror year Don Owen was elected President with ack Crewrston Laurence Foster and Elwyn lox as hrs capable assistants The annual party was held on February twenty eighth successfully put over by the wrllmg help of many on the xarrous committees A number of yuruors were shown to hawe oratorlcal abrlrty but oanne Stephens and Prank Hannon stood out exceptionally rn that field taking honors rn both debate and private oratorlcal contests The field of sports had its yunror representation ln sex eral capable warriors while girls sports were equally endowed There were also many from the class who were actne rn the music field such as the A Cappella chorr which took first nn state and went down to St Louis to the national contest girls and boys glee clubs band and orchestra As a climax to a thoroughly successful year the unror Prom was held m honor of the graduating seniors The gymnasium beautifully decorated gaye the impression of a Viennese ballroom with the throne for the Prom Queen Betty Robinson set at one end to enable her to new hcr subyects with ease The one hundred eighty sn. remammg students beginning the senior year realized they must haxe harnessed a swift star for almost before any one could rmagrne here was the last year The electron held at the hrst of the term promoted Galbraith Casler President allowing him the prnxlege and the headaches of giving the class a final send off with Kenneth Wollenweber Vice President and Dolores Tilton and hlwyn Fox handling the jobs of Secretary and Treasurer Don Owen was selected as editor of the EOS with Norman Stem ably assisting hum while Morton Bowman won the place of Business Manager This was the first year the Student Council actively organrzed to further student participation Headed by seniors lt made many beneficial changes The senior dance was held rn November marking the beginning of social life for this school year The football and basketball teams made a good showing as did the music branches of the school Then the year drew rapidly to a close An excellent class play rn May the unror Prom Baccalaureate Class Day with issuance of the EOS the class prcnrc which we shall remember as one grand time and Commencement all followed ln such rapid suc cesslon that the star had reached its goal and graduation was over before the Senior Class quite realrzed rt had all happened awe .L'df2f!e8 III . . v , V, 7 7 ,' .
