ef fa we M Love Thy Neighbor. The Mecca theme for this year was a noble one, and in these troublesome times, possible only in our United States. Th annual Christmas program presented by the club consisted of a movie of Dickens' famed A Christmas Car- ol. The girls enjoyed wholehearted fun when they attended :1 Kid's Party in the gym March 28. Each Meccaite dressed like a little girl was accompanied by a girl dressed as a little boy. Lollypops and children's games were the order of the night. Anita Ziegenhagen, president of the club, reigned as queen at the Mecca Easter promenade. The formals, school clothes, and date apparel were modeled by teachers and girls from Mecca. Number 13 had no fears for the Hi-Y, for the club's thirteenth annual Minstrel and Vaudeville show was another success. Mr. Werner organized and directed a program that offered comedy, tragedy, fun, and seriousness. The interlocutors were john Gustafson and Ted Barr, while the black endmen were Ray David-- son, Charles Bennett, Milton Krueger, Bob Hankel, Bill Glye, and Bob Babick. Among the guest speakers at the Hi-Y this past year were members of the Milwaukee Chiefs, Walter Mehl, Chuck Fenske, and many others. The boys were active in outside work. HI-Y van, Frank Chudy.
