fiona , weed, Yes, many races, many creeds, many tongues, but united we stand! Whether we speak German, Latin, or Spanish, we still are proud to be Americans! The many Heils heard at the German students' Christmas party were the cheery greetings of a free people. Miss Meyer is the sole teacher of German. Under the energetic leadership of Galen Gerber, president, the Latin Club, again sponsored a successful Roman banquet. The menu was printed in Latin on paper rolled like the ancient Roman scrolls. The Latin magistrae here at Thomas Jones were Miss Boyce and Miss Debruine. Under the supervision of Senora Slater, the Spanish Club presented a very lively Pan American program. The Spanish dances were directed by Miss Adams. After the refreshments, the singing of Spanish songs was most liked by club members. SPANISH CLUB First Row: Elvina Biever, Margaret Janecek.
