Administration The chief ringmaster of the many ringed program in West Allis High school is Mr. West. He, with the aid of the faculty ringmasters, drill and prepare the troupe of pupils for their parts in the various acts of life. Mr. West received his education at the College of Wooster, University of Chicago, and Harvard University, He has taught in high schools at Ashtabula, Zanesville, and Cleveland, Ohio. lust before coming to West Allis he taught at the Lakewood junior and senior high school. Mr. Nash is the one who superintends the work in all the companies of public schools in West Allis. He received his B. A. Degree from Dakota Weslyan, and his M. A. Degree from Minnesota University. He also did additional work at Wisconsin and Minnesota Universities. He worked his way up from teaching to principal of schools in Frankfort, South Dakota, and Oscela, Wisconsin. From there he came to West Allis as director of research, became director of instruction, and finally attained his present position. Dur- ing his three years as superintendent we have been aware of Mr. Nash's interest in the education of the troupe of West Allis pupils, The objective of the department headed by Mr. Betts is to make the Work as a trouper in junior high school more closely connected with that of a senior high school trouper. The department is also concen- trating on more efficient methods of study. Mr. Betts did undergraduate work at McPherson College in Kansas, and graduate work at Stanford University. He has taught in high schools near Los Angeles, California. F or two years he was director of research in Miami, Arizonap then he became senior specialist in research in the National Teacher Training Survey conducted by the United States Office of Education. Every day during the school season one will find these three advisers trying to improve in some way the privileges offered in their company. Through advising the faculty ringmasters they try to teach the troupers to put on the best show of citizenship and intelligent living. When we troupers get the gate- receipts from our training received in high school, we will then fully realize the privileges offered to us through the efforts of Mr. West, Mr. Nash, Mr. Betts, and the faculty.
