Principal Mr. John T. Ferber has completed his third year as principal of the Senior High. Mr. Ferber attended Duquesne University for his undergraduate work in Public School Music. Later he attended night classes at the University of Pittsburgh majoring in Education Curriculum and supervision. He first taught at West Alexander Public Schools. He later served as Music Supervisor of band, orchestra, and chorus at Braddock School District. Prior to coming to West Allegheny, Mr. Ferber was the principal of Braddock Junior High School. Superintendent Dr. John A. Schriker is the Superintendent of the West Allegheny School District. He earned his Master of Education and his Doctorate of Education at the University of Pittsburgh. After receiving his doctorate, he served as an instructor at the University for five years during which time he coached both boxing and football. Dr. Schriker is a past president of the Pennsylvania Elementary Principal's Association. Last year he was nominated for the biographical listing in the 1970-71 Who's Who in American School Administrators. 16
