Mr. John Knox Hall, Supervising Principal Principal Dr. John A. Schricker, now in his second year as Supervising Principal, is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh. He received both his master of educa- tion and his doctorate of education there. After re- ceiving his doctorate, he served as an instructor at the University for five years during which time he coached both boxing and football. Dr. Schricker is a past president of the Pennsyl- vania Elementary Princi- pals Association. This year, Dr. Schricker has been elected to be in Who's Who in America. principal of the Senior High, is a graduate of California State College. He earned his master's de- gree in Educational administration at Du- quesne University. At present, Mr. Hall is attending the University of Pittsburgh. He taught for ten years at Thomas Jefferson High School, during which time he served for three years as vice-principal. While at Thomas Jefferson he coached both football and basketball. Mr. Hall also served as prin- cipal at Pleasant Middleschool with grades five through eight during the 1965-66 school year.

The machinery of modern education is a well run and efiicient operation. Today, a school cannot function without the con- tinued guidance and leadership of an effec- tive administration. For not only do they administer to present needs, but they also must adapt to the everchanging develop- ment in modern education. The process of learning does not end in the classrooms. A teacheris influence upon the attitudes and opinions of his students extends beyond this formal education. A good teacher not only teaches,, but instills in his students the love of knowledge and the desire to question, challenge and pursue this knowledge on his own. This, perhaps, is the greatest reward. Working together, the faculty and administration provide the guidance and leadership necessary for a modern up-to-date education.
