With a total of 16 boys they have come a long way. The outstanding event that climaxed the year was the Parent-Son Banquet. About 56 people attended this years Banquet with Bill Brewer, F, F, A, State Vice President, being guest speaker. The boys organ- ized various activities such asg pest war with Lanier in which we won a Cupg a rifle shoot in the Ag. Shop, Magazine sales, seed sales,and razor sales. Two of the boys, Larry Unger and Bob Simmons attended National Convention at Kansas City, Kansas, and two more, Ralph Habekost and George Moodie are going to attend the State Convention at Columbus June 3-4. Two more boys, Jim Voge and Jim Combs are going to spend a week at F. F. A. Camp July 25th, to the 30th. A good time was had when we played Monroe F, F, A. a Donkey Basketball game. They won,but by only 1 point. A few summer activities are planned. We are looking forward to a fine bunch of Freshmen for next year. Advisor, Mr. Keith Rogers F.F.A. The Future Homernakers of America is organized in all oi the states with National headquarters in New York. Any girl enrolled in home economics is eligable for membership. State and National meetings are held each year. Ruth Snyder and Marjorie Deeter were the voting delegates representing West Alex at the State meeting held April 23-24, in Columbus. Other members attending this meeting were Sally Collins, Joyce Pollet, Charlotte Hall and Nancy Miller. They were accompanied by the club advisor. Ruth Snyder, Charlotte Hall and Joyce Pollet have been chosen to go to state F, H. A, Camp this-summer. The club will pay half the expenses of two girls. These girls will spend a week at camp learning more about F. H. A., developing leadership and have a good time along with it. The F, H. A. offers degree work but is not necessary for membership.
