Everyday there is something more to be learned, some new bit of wisdom to be gained and ap- preciated. The team had a slow start however by dropping their first three games. By the time they played their fourth game there was a definite improvement. The over allteam spirit became higher. At Lawrence Park, a bad break de- prived us of being in a championship game with North East. The team felt depressed after this set back but it didn't break their spirit. The next week in practice the boys all worked hard until fi- nally they met North East on our own field where they put ona fine exhibition of football by beating the Grape Pick- ers in our final game of the season. Although we didn't have a championship this year we feel that our boys have learned to work together and to take disappointments in their stride. We are sorry to see our Seniors leave but are looking forward to a successful L Q1 season next year Axfld.. The team won 17 games while losing a total of 9. Three of these losses were suffered at the hands of Class A Teams: Academy, East, and Millcreek. lt certainly must be recorded as the highest scoring team the school has ever had, with four players scoring over 300 points apiece. The team scored a total of 1,719 points for the season, or a per game average of 66.1. Scoring alone does not tell the story however, as our team displayed outstanding sportsmanship throughout the season. lt certainly was a dis- appointment to the boys to finish second in the Holiday tournament, and lose in the playoffs for the championship, but the team accepted the losses like the wonderful sports and fine gentlemen that they are. We will all miss such seniors as Dick Vidic, Harold Spencer, .lim Smith, Jim Crum and John Schlipf, but are looking ahead to another fine season in 1956-57. MR. Held on the night of November 18, 1955, the play took place in a creepy castle full of unseen horrors. The story concerns a college lad who had an abnormal taste for horror movies, and the hilarious way in which he was cured. The sen- iors slowly file off the stage and into the aisles and now stand in the outside hall amongahappy and congratulatory crowd. For a few moments we are lost in our memories. We remember the day we began here as little children and how our mothers took us by the hand into the office.
