Walk on 2444 af eden . . , Left to Rlght Priscilla Hammond Marian Peters Barbara Cornelius Carole Schmitz, Rose Koshoian, head, lo Ellen McKee, School's always a livelier place because of this group, no matter what the season. They love to perform, enjoy trying new routines, and, in general, supply a nice bit of zip to the atmosphere. We caught them in some informal poses. To the left they're blocking the stairwayfs- and nicely, too, we think. Priscilla and Rosemarie, the flag twirlers, flank our Drum Majorette, Donna Harman, in the next snap. Then we thought the individual pictures of Donna with her two baton s, and Rosie, the head of the Majorettes, were guite good, too. Baton twirlers don't just grow, however. These girls, as all other aspirants to their positions must, have trained for at least four years to be come members of the group. They, in turn, train the elementary and junior high students in the art. Tt all takes time and effort, but they agree it's worth it. 14
