I I I I ANNUARIUM - the progress of the year - titles our Yearbook and heralds the theme of a seasonal procession of Wesleyville High School's activities. Progress in any form is dependent on order, and all activity in our school, curricular and extra-curricular, maintains that regulation in accordance with time, circumstance, and purpose. AUTUMN, the exciting beginning, bustles with organization and resolve, as classes and clubs take form, and Football, with its attendant color groups, Band and Majorettes, sparks our eager enthusiasm. WINTER, the plodding middle, is more quietly busy. Classes are settled and absorbing, clubs pursue their purposeful ends, and Basketball holds the sport spotlight. Finally SPRING steps in to reap the reward. Events occur in rapid suc- cession to prove the months of effective effort. Suddenly, the year is about to end and Commencement is near. To us Seniors, the end of our final year at Wesleyville is but a mark of progress on the calendar of our lives. Henceforth, we shall meet life on a bigger scale. New experiences and new problems will be ours, but, because of our association with the high standards of Wesleyville High School and its co- operative faculty, we look forward with pleasant anticipation to the experiences, with confidence, to the problems. The progress of the year,-all years,-all our lives is our challenge. May each of us meet it well! -7-

Uevldcazfdan lt is with deep pride that we dedicate our ANNUARlUM to a true son of Wesleyville, our coach, lim Manafo. Mr. Manafo, both as a student and instructor at Wesleyville High School, has exemplified the character and citizenship gualities which our school and community respect. As friend and teacher, he has been remarkably success- ful in developing these same traits in the students who have known him. His quiet, friendly, dry humor has made him a favorite among us. His deep insight and sincere understanding have warranted our respect. As a coach, his record proves him one of the finest. With a very limited student body, he has given the Maroon and White a place in the athletic sun which attracts the attention of all schools, large and small. We look forward to future seasons with Coach Manafo on the field, ex- citing the Bulldogs to victoryg to future years with Mr. Manafo at his desk, guiding his students toward honorable citizenship. i.-g,
