You have seen the successful completion of a wonh derful financial campaign, which has broadened and strengthened the foundations of the College. A During your period of residence, you have witnessed a steady and gratifying growth in the number of Faculty and students. You have rejoiced with all the friends of the in- stitution in the testimony of impartial observers as to the high academic Standing of your College. You have observed the organization of the Alumni Council, which has in it so much promise of usefulness in directing the loyal energies of the elds. Alumni into fruitful You have participated dent government, based on the honor with the Faculty a feeling of pride our community. in the development of stu- system, and you have shared in the high ideals that rule You have contributed to the success of the teams that have regained for the Cardinal and Black their former pros- tige in intercollegiate athletics. You have shared theigratification of the Alumni in the knowledge that athletics at Wesleyan are at last on a paying basis. You have helped to build up a college spirit which insists upon a strict training for our teams, the sine gua non of success. You have only begun to repay the debt you owe your College.
