Every afternoon one can see the girls trot out to the new athletic field carrying their sticks and shin guards. Wesley's 1949 hockey season completed Wesley's fourth year in varsity hockey competition. W vi OCCQI! Wesley enjoyed its finest soccer season since the sport was inaugurated two years ago. The highlight of the season was the 2-1 victory over the U. S. Naval Academy B Squad at Annapolis and the exciting 1-1 tie with Drexel at Dover. Captain Jack Van Cott did a fine job in leading our forces to three Wins, three losses, and one tie, Just credit must be given to Coach John Hamor whose excellent coach- ing pushed the team to a spirited season.
