As proof of close, well-played games, Mfesley offers 13 points scored while her opponents made ll. The coach, Miss Louise Frantz, claimed that the team had trouble in the first half and by the time they did get going it was often too late. The team was composed of eight sophomores and 6 freshmen. Hughes, Dickman, Jester, Smith, and Kelly opened the opponents wall, while Nabb, Semos, Benevides, Woodall, DiGenova, and Donnigan served as YVesley's spirited defense. As a member of the newly organized Delaware Field Hockey Association, the Wesley team found all its field opponents well-skilled and ideal sportswomen. It was a thrill for every girl to be a member and we doubt that it will be forgotten by any of the team. SCHEDULE Op. NV Op. Weller, Carson, Dean, Daisy, Street, Nelson, Edwardson, Heller, Ballestina, Brunick' Walker Spicer, Osllna, Kemp, Chambers, Miller, Holdway Hamilton, Gzilli, Chuchani, Wiley, Hitchens, Aquilino, Bailey SOCCER Wfesley junior College opened its hrst season of intercollegiate soccer. The squad, though inexperienced, played aggressive ball throughout, and gained experience which will prove valuable in the coming campaigns. Although the team did not score any triumphs over the much more formidable opponents, they are looking forward to a successful season next year.
