MEMUIRS rapidly slipping away before we knew it, and at the beginning of May, preparations were underway for an Old English May Day. Aud- rey Rumer and Virginia Rittenhouse were the freshmen attendants, and Edwin Thomas played the part of Robin Hood. After the May Day program a formal dance was held. Knowing that next year our class would be the leaders, we began thinking of candidates for the VVomen's Dormitory Council, Religious Council, and the Wesley Echo staff. On May 28, as we watched the impressive graduation ceremony, we realized that now we would take our places as sophomores. We hated to see them leave, but we were eagerly looking forward to becoming upper-classmen ourselves. The summer passed quickly and in Septem- ber We found ourselves again at Wesley renew- ing old friendships and adding new ones. Now it was our turn to acquaint the freshmen with college life. VVe did the initiating this year- somehow it was easy to forget how we, as freshmen, had wished that the sophomores would be more lenient on us. Priscilla Hawkins, Dorothy Scholz, and Tina Taylor were the newest additions to our class. This year because of an enlarged sports pro- gram, there was evidence of more school spirit as Vlfesleyans came out to cheer their teams on to victory. VVith the return of service men to college life, dances and parties became more prominent at lfVesley. A semi-formal Valentine dance marked the beginning of dances open to the public. Some NAPS from Bainbridge helped make the evening more successful. With only a few months left at Wesley our thought and conversations all center around graduation and plans for next year. As we write this, we are looking forward to our May Day program, commencement dance, and graduation. Now, as we bring our memoirs to a close, we sincerely wish that we could write a sequel in which we could say how much our life at Mfesley has meant to us through the years.
