Amso'rT THE HIKING CLUB, organized by Dr. Abbott, is the most recent addition to Mfesley's activi- ties. The club is open to any Wesley student. The purpose of this organization is to bring together all those interested in hiking for pleasure or in observing outdoor life. For many, a Saturday afternoon hike is a welcome relaxation. The official uniform of the group is jeans and plaid shirts. One trip which the club took was to Bower's Beach where they explored along the shore. The group also Went to the bird sanctuary at Bomb Bay Hook.

T1-us YEAR the Mfesley Pretenders has been or- ganized into a regularly scheduled class, which not only gives the members an opportunity to display their own dramatic talents but also to learn techniques in acting, directing, staging, and producing. The Pretenders have presented DEAN CARRIE W ALTER plays to local organizations and have made sev- eral trips to see dramatic productions. The outstanding one-act plays have been Sup- pfressed Desires, The Happy journey, M anikin and Minikin, Life Tflfith Rodney, Ashes of Roses and Dust of the Road.
