'Up With Pe0ple'Is Theme Of Sing Out Sing Out cast members featured Up With People and a patriotic theme before a standing room only audience and television camera, I E Rehearslng for the first Sing Out program are musicians Ken Schill, Greg Solether, Doug Thompson, and Jimmy Payne. 18 Weslaco's Sing Out hit the Valley with a new explosion of enthusiasm and patriotism. Destroying the stero-typed image of drug- addicted, card-burning teenagers, WHS Sing Out members expressed their ideas and beliefs on America, democracy and people in general. Expressed to modern and moving music, cast members sounded their spirited eruption against hatred, fear, and greedfi Rushing on stage and exploding into song with a spirit from within, Weslaco Sing Out rocked the state with its new modern beat and the new enthusiastic message of UP WITH PEOPLE! Presenting two civic per- formances in Weslaco, performing before numerous clubs and organizations up and down the Valley, and completing a five day state-wide tour during March 27-31, in ad- dition to appearing via tape in Austin, Houston, and Viet Nam, Weslaco Sing Out broadcast its message of commitment to God and countryw to thousands. i J 1 r 4 1
