Members of this club share the common interest of homemaking and they are learning and working to better their home and family lives through techniques learned in homemaking courses and activities of FHA, FHA is quite active on the WHS campuS. and this yearanofficer, Dianne Luce, was named The Homemaker of Tomorrow' ' of WHS, Another officer, Barbara Graham, was sponsored by the WHS chapter in the district elections for Area X Secretary. This year' s choir, directed by Mrs . Fouad Mattar, has participated in a variety of activities. The W.H.S. choir has given concerts for the stu- dent body, the new occupants of Wesley Manor, the Valley's winter visitors, and several Valley organi- zatrons. Two members of the choir have won recognition, Pat LeMaster, re- gional choir, and Nancy McEachron, Yoder choir award. An annual spring concert was held at which Sandy Morrison was named choir sweetheart and Frank Alton, beau. This year's choir officers are Sandy Morrison, president, Doug Myers, vice-presidentg Sharon Bondurant, secretary- treasurer, and Mary Cross, Student Senate representative. The chapter members share a com- mon interest in learning farm and ranch skills. Various FFA activities include a leadership contest and a grass identification contest in the fall, Chapter members also participate in 'the Mercedes Livestock Show and the Donna Lamb Show, This year two members, .Tohnny Harbison and Randy Smith, took part in the Houston Fat Stock Show in the spring. Other spring activities include a livestock and meat judging contest and the state FFA convention.
